Trevor Thomas
Trevor’s broadcasting career started in hospital radio before he got a job in the early 90s at Radio Top Shop at the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester, playing records from a Perspex bubble (no, really).
He then moved all over the UK – working at stations in Lancashire, Cheshire and Londonderry. He went on to run Silk FM in Macclesfield and Rugby FM in Warwickshire, and later became the breakfast show host at Magic AM in Sheffield.
Trev’s still doing what he loves after 30 years in the business – and he’s here every weekend on Total Soul from midday playing the best new and classic soul from the 80s to now.
On Saturdays, he gets his dancing shoes on with a mid-afternoon Boogie Blast – and on Sundays at 2:30, he presents The Producers – celebrating the works of some of soul music’s finest creative minds.
Trevor’s favourite soul track is Al Jarreau’s Mornin’. What’s yours? Get in touch below and let him know!
