Alexander O'Neal back with charity single

Alexander O'Neal

Alexander O'Neal has released a cover of Louis Armstrong's classic "What A Wonderful World" to raise money for homeless people this Christmas.

The song will support two charities - Homeless Worldwide and The Salvation Army.

O'Neal, who was recently appointed an ambassador for Homeless Worldwide, said: "I want to bring to the world's attention just how bad things are, but also how good they could be. It is such a privilege to be involved with these two great organisations."

Lieutenant-Colonel Dean Pallant from The Salvation Army added: "This Christmas rough sleepers need The Salvation Army more than ever as many traditional winter night shelters have been forced to close because they cant be made COVID safe. Our frontline is out there delivering blankets, warm clothes and hot food helping to keep those forced to sleep on the streets safe. We are extremely grateful to Alexander O'Neal for drawing attention to the plight of rough sleepers at this incredibly difficult time as temperatures begin to plummet."
